Brine Water

The Quran and Imam Musa al-Kadhim (PBUH) warn against attachment to worldly desires. The Imam compared this world to **salty sea water**—the more one drinks, the thirstier he becomes until it destroys him. True purity comes from detaching from material greed and focusing the soul toward **Allah (SWT)**.

The Market of this World

Imam Baqir (PBUH) advised Umar Ibn Abd al-Aziz that life is like a marketplace where only righteous deeds bring profit. He urged justice, avoidance of sin, and restraint in power. Moved, Umar returned Fadak to Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), but by not restoring the Caliphate, he ultimately failed spiritually.
