Muawiyah sought to marry his son Yazid into Bani Hashem to gain legitimacy through the Ahlul Bayt. Imam Hassan (PBUH) rejected the proposal, exposing Muawiyah’s political motives and reaffirming that their opposition was based on truth and faith, not tribe. He arranged a noble marriage for the girl instead.

Manifestation of Generosity

The Ahlul Bayt used wisdom and compassion to guide others. A poor man received thoughtful, respectful help from Imam Hassan (PBUH), Imam Hussain (PBUH), and Abdullah ibn Ja’far—each offering slightly less to honor one another. Uthman acknowledged their unmatched knowledge, virtue, and kindness in aiding those in need.
