News about the insulting\ncaricatures naturally shocked and disturbed us. We found ourselves asking the\nquestion, \u201cHow can a free individual allow himself to mock or remain silent to\nthe mockery of a globally respected authority like Prophet Muhammad\n(PBUH&HP)? Which monotheist can ever tolerate an insult to a divine prophet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We remembered, the first people who\nridiculed Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) were pagans and ignorant people who\nwere intolerant of the expansion of Islam, and were unfamiliar with logic,\nreasoning, and debates. They therefore, hired clowns and comedians to mock the\nProphet (PBUH&HP) only so the Prophet\u2019s character could be degraded in the\neyes of people, and as a result cease the expansion of Islam. And these were\nthe ignorant people who later became known as symbols of violence and non-civil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nonetheless, our hearts still ached\nfrom witnessing this first tragedy, and our pens had not reached paper yet,\nwhen the enemies of Allah (SWT) once more devised a new plan, bringing the\ncaravan of God believers face to face with the deceit of Qabil\u2019s (Cain)\ndescendants. The holy shrines of two honorable Imams, Imam Hadi (PBUH) and Imam\nHassan Askari (PBUH) were attacked by a deviated group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Insulting Prophet Muhammad\n(PBUH&HP) yesterday, the painful tragedy of Samarra today, and perhaps\nfurther offence to religion and its sacred values tomorrow\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, we should stay vigilant and firm\nmore than ever, hands in hands and shoulder to shoulder\u2026 Verily the future is\nnothing but light and brightness, and darkness has no destiny but eradication\nand extermination, because: \u201d\u2026Surely the earth is Allah’s; He gives it as an\ninheritance to whomever of His servants He pleases, and the (good) end is for\nthe pious.\u201d (1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Roshd website along with all freemen\nof the world and the followers of divine religions voices its opposition and\nstrongly condemns the insults to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) and the\ndesecration of the holy shrines of Samarra. \nAs a humble member of the Shia community, we offer our condolences to\nImam Mahdi (PBUH) upon these two tragedies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
