One of the most important methods of\nidentifying a Prophet is to observe a supernatural act from them, which is\nreferred to as \u201csign\u201d or \u201cevidence\u201d in the Holy Quran and \u201cmiracle\u201d among the\nMuslims. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since the mission of the previous\nProphets was bound to a specified and limited time interval, the application of\ntheir miracles was also restricted and limited to the people of their time;\nbecause some of the people at their time would actually \u201csee\u201d the miracles and\nthe argument would be complete on them through this observation, while others\nwould become aware of it by \u201cconsecutive\u201d and \u201csuccessive narration\u201d, and this\nwould lead them to certainty and faith. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Nevertheless, an eternal religion must\nhave and eternal miracle; because if it is limited to a specific time, those\nliving before and after it can not observe it visually, and the news and\nnarrations of it could fade as time passes, or at least doubts could raise\nabout it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Therefore, the argument on the people\nliving afterwards who have not observed the miracle would be incomplete. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This issue expresses an important fact\nin regards with Divine religions. As such, Ayatullah Khoei, one of the great\nShia scholars, has discussed this subject with a Jewish scholar where he\nmentioned that the time for Judaism has passed and their arguments and miracles\nhave come to an end\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In their discussion, Ayatollah Khoei\nasked the Jewish scholar, \u201dIs Judaism restricted to the Jews or is it general\nfor all the people and nations?\u201d If it is only for the Jews, then other nations\nneed another Prophet. Could that Prophet be anyone other than the Prophet of\nIslam? If the religion of Moses (PBUH) is universal, it has to have an eternal\nand live proof. However, there is no such proof available today; because the\nmiracles of Moses (PBUH) were confined to his own time. In fact, there remained\nno evidence for them after him so that they would lead into certainty,\nguarantee the continuation of Judaism for ever, and be a testimony in all times\nand eras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you argue that although those\nmiracles do not exist today, numerous narrations of them could prove their\nexistence, we would respond by saying:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. A miracle\ncould be proven by narrations only if the narrators are so many that it would\nlead into certainty. However, the existence of that many narrators of the\nmiracles of Moses (PBUH) during all times and among all nations can not be\nproven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. If narrations\nof miracles are enough to prove their existence, this is not confined to the\nmiracles of Moses (PBUH). While the Jews narrate the miracles of Moses (PBUH),\nThe Christians narrate the miracles of Jesus (PBUH), and the Muslims narrate\nthe miracles of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP). What is the difference between\nthese narrations that makes you believe in the miracles of Moses (PBUH) and not\nthe others? If narrating the miracles of a Prophet is a testimony to his\nProphethood, then why do you not believe in the other Prophets whose miracles\nhave been narrated?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At this point, the Jew scholar said,\n\u201dThe miracles of Moses (PBUH) that are narrated by the Jews are accepted by\nChristians and the Muslims, and they believe in them; however, the miracles of\nother Prophets are disputed among people. Therefore, they need other proofs for\ntheir Prophethood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ayatullah Khoei replied, \u201dIndeed!\nAlthough the Christians and the Muslims believe in the miracles of Moses\n(PBUH), it is not through narrations of the Jews. They accept those miracles\nbecause their own Prophets have report about those miracles. The Christians and\nthe Muslims recognize the miracles of Moses (PBUH) through their own Prophets,\nand if they did not believe in their Prophethood, they would not have any means\nto evaluate the miracles of Moses (PBUH). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This argument applies not only to\nJudaism, but also to all the previous religions. Nonetheless, Islam is the only\nreligion whose miracle is eternal and alive in all times and era; it is\ncirculated among all nations and generations, and it will speak to all mankind\nand guide them towards the truth up to the Day of Judgment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In fact, we come to know Islam and\nbelieve in it through this eternal miracle, the Holy Quran. Once we have\nrecognized and accepted Islam, we are bound to believe in the previous\nProphets; because the Holy Quran and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) have\nattested and endorsed them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In brief, the Holy Quran is the only\neternal and everlasting miracle which approves all the previous Divine\nscriptures, attests the truthfulness and purity of all previous Prophets, and\nendorses them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
