One of the clearest standings of Islam\nis its fundamental support for seeking knowledge and its spread among human\nbeings. There is no difference in this regards between men and women. In fact,\na general overview of the Islamic teachings clearly shows that among all\nreligions, Islam\u2019s support for women\u2019s education and learning is unique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) has\nsaid about this issue,\u201d Seeking knowledge is obligatory upon every male and\nfemale Muslim (1)\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lives of examples Islam has put\nforward are true evidences for this stand. Islam has not only considered\nseeking knowledge and learning crucial for women, but also has allowed them to\nteach the knowledge they have gained if certain conditions are met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Therefore, the habit of seeking\nknowledge was common among not only the wives and the daughter of the\nInfallible Imams (PBUT), but also all the other people who could somehow\nbenefit from their knowledge, such that everyone of them could become a source\nof knowledge and progress for the Islamic nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For instance, at the time of Imam\nKadhim (PBUH), a group of the Shiites went to Medina to ask the questions they\nhad from the Imam (PBUH). Imam Kadhim (PBUH) was out of town at that time, so\nthey wrote down their questions and gave them to the family of the Imam (PBUH),\nso that they would get the answers in their next trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later, as they wanted to leave Medina,\nthey met Lady Masumah (PBUH), daughter of Imam Kadhim (PBUH), and realized that\nshe had provided answers to their question in writing. Delighted, they received\nthe answers and left Medina for their hometown. On their way, they came across\nImam Kadhim (PBUH) and narrated what had happened. Imam Kadhim (PBUH) asked for\nthe answers her daughter had provided, studied them, and after he found them to\nbe exactly correct, he repeated three times,\u201d May her father be sacrificed for\nher\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In fact, in the religion of Islam,\nwomen have reached, and continue to reach positions of accomplishment that they\nnot only traverse the path of perfection themselves, but also help their\nsociety and nation to progress, and become references of knowledge for others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
