The key to success for every\ndistinguished human being is worshiping and obeying Allah (SWT), since the\npurpose of creation of mankind is nothing but worship. However, worship has a\nbroad meaning and is not restricted to praying or fasting. In his book of\n\u201cMufradat\u201d, Raghib Isfahani states that \u201cWorshiping and obedience means to\nexpress humbleness and humility\u201d. It means that worship has a more inclusive\nmeaning which is ultimate humility and humbleness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fatimah, daughter of Imam Hussain\n(PBUH), has narrated the situation of Lady Zainab (PBUH) on the night before\nAshura as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cOn the night\nbefore Ashura, my aunt Zainab was standing in her place for worship and was\nsupplicating to Allah (SWT). On that night, no one amongst us got to sleep and\nthe voice of our cries was never interrupted\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Worshiping, with its inclusive\nmeaning, is observed in all the behaviors and characteristics of Lady Zainab\n(PBUH). She remained patient in all the difficulties and tragedies that\nhappened to her to the extent that patience became impatient over her patience,\nand all these were considered as acts of worship for her. Is there any act of\nworship greater than offering two beloved children for the sake of the Holy\nQuran and the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), and becoming mournful over losing six\nbrothers such as Imam Hussain (PBUH) and Hadrat Abbas (PBUH)? Is there a\ngreater act of worship than wearing the veil of captivity in which she was\nexamined tens of times and she passed all successfully?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And finally, is there any act of\nworship greater than continuing the rising of her brother, delivering fiery\nsermons in the path of Kufa and Syria, and awakening ignorant people who were\ndeceived by poisonous propaganda of Yazid and martyred Imam Hussain (PBUH) as a\nman who was out of Islam! Her sermons created a movement in Kufa and Damascus\nwhich shook the bases of Yazid\u2019s kingdom and even Yazid\u2019s son refused to\nreplace his father as the king, and after a while, quitted the government while\ndisgracing the oppressing dynasty of Umayyads. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her sermon, Lady Zainab (PBUH)\nwarned Yazid about the Hereafter and said, \u201dFear the day on which the judge is\nAllah (SWT), and Muhammad (PBUH&HP) himself will plead for justice. O\nYazid! On that day the organs and members of people will testify against them,\nand it is on that day that the punishment of the oppressors will be realized\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of course, the greatest act of worship\nof Lady Zainab (PBUH) was preaching and giving advice with which she continued\nthe tradition of the Prophets (PBUT) and the infallible Imams (PBUT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
