Talkativeness has numerous unpleasant\nconsequences in which can be observed in the daily lifestyle. One of the\nteachings of divine Prophets was to avoid talkativeness and speaking less. In\nan advise by Prophet Jesus (PBUH):<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cO sons of\nIsrael, to speak less is a great and important matter. Therefore, it is upon\nyou to be silent; as (for silence) there is a secret calmness, reduction of\nmistakes and lessens the weight of sins.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One who chooses to be silent has more\ntime to think and when it is upon talking has the advantage of saying what is\nwiser; thus reducing the chance to say something that is wrong or even sinful.\nProphet Jesus (PBUH) said to his companions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI advise you to\nplace the seal of silence on your mouths so that you never say something\ninappropriate.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teachings of all divine religions\nencourages followers to be more of a listener that a speaker. One who speaks\nless has more focus and will be a better listener. Thus, one should try to\nspeak as little as possible and further try to expose her\/himself to words of\nwisdom instead of talkative ones. Prophet Jesus (PBUH) continued in his\nprevious advise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cwords of wisdom\nare what a believer has lost; so try to find it\u2026.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
