One of the common teachings of all\nDivine religions is piety, and putting the effort to protect the soul through\nobedience and submission. Whenever prophet a was sent to the people by Allah\n(SWT), in addition to administering their teachings, they placed great emphasis\non the importance of observing divine-set limits. Prophets invited their people\nto piety, and warned them on disobedience towards Allah (SWT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since purity of the soul and\nachievement of excellent morality is the key to entering Allah\u2019s (SWT) Kingdom,\nthere are on occasion communication between Allah (SWT) and His Messengers\nregarding the observance of divine laws. \nThe following account is a similar talk between Prophet Isa\/Jesus (PBUH)\nand Allah (SWT):<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cO Isa! Wherever\nyou are, remember Me, and bear witness that I have created you and that you are\nMy Servant\u2026Your word should be one both in private and public, and so should\nyour heart and sight! Stay far from the\ndesire that distances you from Me; and know that you are to Me as a trustworthy\nmessenger, thus fear Me\u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
O Isa! In the lonely corridors of this\nworld, do not forget Me\u2026 be happy with good works, for they please Me, and cry\nupon ill-deeds for they are ugly; and do not do that which you do not want done\nunto you\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O Isa! Fear Me, and tell My servants\nto fear Me as well; perhaps the sinful will stop what they are doing, and they\ncan only prevent destruction through awareness\u2026 (Know that) the best of you for\nMe is the most obedient one of you, the one who fears Me most\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O Isa! Tell the evil-doers of\nBani-Israel, \u2018Have you received a letter of protection or a letter of freedom\nfrom Me? Are you exposing yourself to My punishment? I swear to Myself, I will make you an example\nfor the future generations!\u201d\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
O Isa! In times of hardship, ask Me\nfor help for I am the Helper of the sorrowful, and the One who responds to the\ncall of the unfortunate. It is I, the\nKindest of the kind\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prophet Isa (PBUH), the son of Mary,\nwould speak to his companions on these matters, and would often warn them about\ngetting close to sin. In a sermon to his\ndisciples, Prophet Isa (PBUH) once said, \u201cMusa\/Moses (PBUH) the prophet of\nAllah (SWT), had told you to not sin, and I am telling you to not even think\nabout sinning! For whoever thinks of sin is like a person who has set fire to a\nbeautiful house; even if the house does not burn down, the smoke will destroy\nand blacken the accessories inside.\u201d2 This wise statement illustrates the\ndedication of the Prophet of Allah to the training of a Allah-fearing and pious\ncommunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The teachings to consider piety exists\nin the teachings of all divine prophets, which is illustrative of the fact that\nmessages of evangelism and hope is not enough for the human excellence. Truly it is in the shade of being\nAllah-fearing and pious that a person can reach the highest levels of\nhumanity. The mother of Isa (PBUH), Mary\nUzra (PBUH) was considered the most Allah-fearing of all women of her time, and\nAllah placed her as an apparent proof and the example of goodness. Imam Sadiq (PBUH) has said, \u201cOn the Day of\nJudgment, they will bring a woman who fell to sin because of her beauty. She will say, \u2018O Lord! You created me\nbeautiful that is why I sinned.\u2019 And in that moment they will present to her\nMary (PBUH) and will tell her, \u2018Are you more beautiful, or is she? We created\nher beautiful, but she did not fall to temptation, and did not sin.\u201d3<\/p>\n\n\n\n
