\u201cO Spirit of Allah, I have come to ask for the hand of the daughter of\nyour successor Simon in marriage for this son of mine\u2026 (1)\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bishr ibn Sulayman was one of the\nlovers of Imam Hadi (PBUH) and Imam al-Askari (PBUH). He was the neighbor of\nthese two Imams in Samarra. He has narrated that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One day Imam Hadi (PBUH) called me. He\nthen wrote a letter in Roman, stamped it with his ring, gave the letter to me\nalong with two hundred and twenty gold coins and said,\u201d Take these to Baghdad,\nand get to a specific location. Some boats which carry a group of captives will\narrive there in the morning\u201d. Then he described one of the captives for me, and\nordered me to give her the letter, and to say that I was the representative of\nthe owner of the letter, so that she would follow me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I acted as Imam Hadi (PBUH) had\nordered me. I found the captive the Imam (PBUH) had described, and gave her the\nletter. When she saw the letter, she was driven to tears, and agreed to follow\nme. When we reached a resting area in Baghdad, he took the letter of Imam Hadi\n(PBUH) out, started kissing it and wiping it over her eyes. I asked her in\nshock,\u201d You are kissing a letter whose writer you do not know?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She said,\u201d You cannot understand the\ngreatness of the children and successors of the Prophets. Listen to me so that\nI narrate my story. I am \u201cMalakah\u201d, daughter of \u201cYashu\u2019a\u201d (son of the Roman Emperor). My mother is a\ndescendant of Simon, the successor of Prophet Jesus (PBUH). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
One night, I saw Prophet Jesus (PBUH)\nand his disciples in my dream making a pulpit of light. Then, the Prophet of\nIslam, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) and his successor and son-in-law, Ali ibn\nAbi Talib (PBUH) and a number of the Imams among his children blessed the\npalace with their presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, Prophet Jesus (PBUH) received\nProphet Muhammad (PBUH&HP). Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) said,\u201d O Spirit\nof Allah, I have come to ask for the hand of the daughter of your successor\nSimon in marriage for this son of mine\u201d, and he pointed to Imam al-Askari (PBUH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prophet Jesus (PBUH) then said to\nSimon,\u201d The glory of the two worlds has turned to you. Connect your progeny\nwith that of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP)\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simon accepted the offer, so all of\nthem went on top of the pulpit. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) recited a\nsermon, and he and Prophet Jesus (PBUH) married me to Imam al-Askari (PBUH),\nwhile children of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) and the disciples were\nwitnessing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Later, Imam al-Askari (PBUH) came to\nmy dream and informed me that:\u201d Your grandfather will send an army to the\nMuslim territories. You have to join them while wearing the clothes of the\nmaids so that you would not be recognized\u201d. I followed the instructions. The\nMuslim army fought ours and achieved victory, so we were caught as captives,\nand you saw how it ended. No one other than you knows that I am the daughter of\nthe Roman Emperor. I introduced myself to the old man who made ma captive as\n\u201cNarjis\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bishr ibn Sulayman narrates that:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen I took her\nto Imam Hadi (PBUH) in Samarra, he asked her,\u201d How did Allah (SWT) show you the\nglory of Islam and the honor of Muhammad (PBUH&HP) and his family?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She replied,\u201d How can I describe to\nyou something which you know better than me?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imam Hadi (PBUH) said,\u201d Glad tidings\nto you for a son that shall become the king of the east and the west of world.\nHe shall fill the earth with justice and equity after it will be filled with\ninjustice and oppression. He is the son of the person whom the Messenger of\nAllah (PBUH) married you to\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then, he said to his sister, Hakimah\nKhatun,\u201d Take her home and teach her the obligatory and recommended acts, as\nshe is the wife of Imam al-Askari (PBUH) and the mother of the Saahib al-Zaman\n(Owner of Time, referring to Imam Mahdi)(PBUH)\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indeed Narjis (PBUH) had the best\nsocial status and the best means of joy and comfort in the Roman Empire at that\ntime; however, she manifested purity and sincerity in herself in a way that the\nMessenger of Allah (PBUH&HP) married her to Imam al-Askari (PBUH), and she\nwas honored to become the mother of unique savior of the world. Nevertheless,\nImam Hadi (PBUH) has taught is that besides all the qualifications, the best\nand most fundamental foundation for a family is based on knowing the commands\nof Allah (SWT) and fulfilling them. Therefore, when such a family, which will\ncreate the destiny of mankind, was about to form, the first step was to learn\nthe Divine commands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So on what basis do we form our lives?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
