It has been recorded in history that\nBoreiheh Abbasi, who was appointed by Motewakkel as the leading performer of\nSalat in Mecca and Madinah, one of his advocates, wrote to him: If Mecca and\nMadinah are important for you order for the exile of Muhammad Ibn Ali (Imam\nHadi (PBUH)), for he invites and attracts many people, and many have become his\nfollowers. Boreiheh wrote a few letters with this content to Motewakkel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
These wrongful circularization of\nreports to Motewakkel who was already an enemy for Imam Hadi and his fathers\n(PBUT) made him send Yayha bin Harthamah with a letter to Imam Hadi (PBUH) in\nwhich he wrote: \u201cI am looking forward to meeting you, I request you to come to\nme.\u201d He also wrote a letter to Boreiheh to make Imam understand what Motewakkel\nmeans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yahya bin Harthamah came to Madinah\nand gave the letter to Boreiheh; He and Boreiheh came to Imam Hadi (PBUH) and\ndelivered the letter. Imam (PBUH) requested a three-day limit, and after three\ndays he had his horses loaded with packs and started travelling to the\nMotewakkel establishment in Iraq. Some of the people and elites of Madinah\naccompanied Imam (PBUH) including Boreiheh Abbasi. On the road, Boreiheh said\nto Imam (PBUH): \u201cI know that you understand that it I who was behind your exile\nto Iraq. I swear that if you complain from me to Motewakkel or one of his close\npeople, I will have your palm trees cut, and kill your friends, and have your\nstream and channels (of your lands) destroyed. And for sure what I say will be\ndone.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imam Hadi (PBUH) turned to Boreiheh\nand said: \u201cIndeed I will complain from you to God; when I complain from you to\nGod, I never complain to anyone apart of Him.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Boreiheh prostrated on the feet of\nImam in lamentation. He shed tears and asked for forgiveness. Imam (PBUH) said:\n\u201cI forgave you.\u201d And continued his way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Accordingly, although Boreheh was\nguilty with an unforgivable injustice that lead to the Imam\u2019s (PBUH) exile and\nseparation from his family and friends, the exile that finally lead to his\nmartyrdom, Imam forgave him, and treated the offense and threatening of\nBoreiheh with generosity and magnanimity. We can regard this behavior of Imam\n(PBUH) an instance for the Quranic verse \u201cShow forgiveness, enjoin what is\ngood, and turn away from the ignorant.\u201d1<\/p>\n\n\n\n
