Mankind is a social creature, which\ngets acquainted on his alike and starts to develop social relation. Visiting\neach other comes with desire and compassion of mankind towards each other and\nit is rooted in nature of humans. Therefore, seeing one another is a natural\nneed. This need will continue even when a loved one passes away. Despite the\nfact that this natural need may diminish. For this reason, visiting family,\nloved ones and their graves is still a common practice among all nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As Islam is a religion rooted in\nhuman\u2019s nature, it has paid a particular attention to the subject of visiting\nand pilgrimage. There are many narrations that provide guidance on pilgrimage.\nBased on this, visiting the family, other believers, and scholars and in particular\nthe Prophet and his Progeny (Peace be upon them) in their lifetime and after\ndemise is highly recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visiting the believers is so\nconstructive in the social and intellectual life that in some narration it has\nbeen marked as visiting Allah (SWT) or the Great Prophet (PBUH&HP). For\ninstance, the Great Prophet (PBUH&HP) \nhas said: \u201cWhosoever visits his brother, not with the intention of a\nfulfilling a need, but with the intention of seeing him and goes to his home,\nhe will be amongst those who visited Allah and it is upon Allah to appreciate\nHis visitors.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From the Islamic view, mankind has a\npurgatory life after death. Thus, visiting the grave of those who passed away\nis not simply visiting dead bodies without life. It is in fact visiting the\nsouls that live in purgatory and they become very happy when we visit them. The\nbest student of the Last Prophet (PBUH&HP), Amir alMumenin Imam Ali (PBUH)\nhas said in a narration about the blessings of visiting the graves of dead:\n\u201cVisit those who have passed away; as they become happy when you visit them.\nOne must ask for his requests from the Lord besides the grave of his\/her\nparents after having prayed for them.\u201d2 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As connection with the Prophet of\nAllah (PBUH&HP) and his Progeny has the most effect on one\u2019s life, visiting\nthem during their life and after demise has been recommended much more than any\nother. Imam Hussein asks his grandfather the messenger of Allah: dear father,\nwhat does he receive, he who visits you? <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The messenger of Allah replies back:\nwhosoever visits me or your father or your brother or you in our lifetime or\nafter death, then it is upon me it visit him on the Day of Judgment and relieve\n(intercede) him from his sins. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also it is narrated from Imam Sadiq\n(PBUH) whosoever visits us after our death it is as if he has visited us in our\nlifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Visiting the prophet and his progeny\nhas traditions on the surface and also deep within and amongst which are\nreciting the pilgrimage script; the visitor\/pilgrim will recite certain sentences\nto the Prophet\u2019s or one of his progeny. This script is primarily comprised of\nphrases that will help in getting to know the visited and ultimately deeper\nknowledge about the Great Prophet and his Progeny (PBUT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moreover, one of the companions of\nImam Hadi (PBUH) asked the Imam to teach him a pilgrimage script. He put his\nrequest fort in the following manner: \u201cO Son of the Messenger of Allah, please\nteach me a comprehensive and eloquent words where I can recite it whenever I\nvisit any one you.\u201d Imam Hadi (PBUH) in response to his request who was Musa\nIbn Abdullah Nakha\u2019ee composed the Ziarat Jame\u2019e Kabireh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It seems that Imam Hadi\u2019s (PBUH) aim\nof such cultural action was to form the pilgrimage sites for Muslims to a\ncenter of learning about the status of Prophet\u2019s progeny and true Islam. This\npriceless effort is both against enemies who tried to destruct the true Islam\nin the light of Prophet\u2019s progeny (PBUT) as well as those who exaggerated about\ntheir status for achieving separation of Islamic society from the Prophet\u2019s\nprogeny (PBUT). Therefore, there\u2019s a comprehensive pilgrim scripts from this\nImam that are both educational and invaluable amongst which the most authentic\nand popular one is Ziarat Jame\u2019eh Kabireh. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This Pilgrim script is in fact one of\nthe most complete written forms about knowing the Imams with clear lines\nbetween Oneness of Allah and belief in the Prophets and Imams (who were their\nsuccessors) explained without any exaggerations. It defines the exceptional\nstatus of Prophet Muhammad\u2019s Progeny (PBUT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
