Once Abdul \u2018Azim Hassani1, one of the\nmost loyal companions of Imam Jawad (PBUH), visited Imam and asked him to\nrecite a narration from his great fathers. Imam Jawad read a word of wisdom\nfrom his father. Abdul \u2018Azim repeated his request several times and each time\nImam Jawad (PBUH) read a different narration from his great fathers. One of the\nnarrations addressed was the answer to this question. Imam Jawad (PBUH)\nnarrated a hadith from Amir al-Mu\u2019minin Imam Ali (PBUH) on the subject of diversity:\n\u201cThe benefit of mankind is in its diversity and different capabilities, and its\nannihilation is in repeated characteristics and similarities.\u201d2<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Diversity among humans is one of the\nwonders of creation. Allah has said in\nthe Holy Quran: \u201cWhat is the matter with you that you fear not the greatness of\nAllah? And indeed He has created you through diverse grades.\u201d3<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No two people are identical physically\nnor emotionally. And the discovery of the fingerprint being unique for every\nperson attests to that.4<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If all humans were created with equal\ncharacteristics and traits, then society would have a serious problem. Everyone\nwould show to have identical capabilities and carry out the same daily\nactivities. Living in that kind of society and trying to make a living would\nhave left us short of answers, making life harsh and bitter for everyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, Allah\u2019s wisdom to create everyone\ndifferently with diverse capabilities has provided order in life. And society is managed through people\u2019s\ndesires of performing different activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the end, everyone is expected to\nperform at the level of their capabilities and this is the measure in which we\nare tested by Allah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
