There are many narrations about Imam\nJawad (PBUH) that he knew what was in the heart of people or he used to foresee\ncertain incidents from the future. Also Ma\u2019moon the wisest Abbasid caliph had\nadmitted to Imam Jawad\u2019s sheer knowledge in debates with himself and other\nscholars on several occasions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These narrations do not imply that the\nImam had knowledge of the unknown without any condition (on his own). But it\nindicates that unlike normal people who grasp knowledge through the means of\nexperience or attention to a subject, all Imams are in-touch (connected) with\nAllah through intuition or the traditions of Prophet Muhammad1. This is how\nthey gain their depth of knowledge. Faith in the power of Allah and the fact\nthat He can do anything He desires allows for one to perform anything\n(including knowledge of the future) if Allah has desires so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It has been narrated that one of the\ngovernors of Medina (Abbasid Dynasty) was a man named Faraj al-Rukhaji at the\ntime of Imam Jawad (PBUH). He was very much against Prophet\u2019s progeny and their\nfollowers. One day when he was standing with Imam Jawad on the side of\nEuphrates; he turned to Imam and said: \u201cYour followers claim that you know how\nmuch water there is in this river and how much in weights.\u201d Imam Jawad replied:\n\u201cDo you think Allah (SWT) can give such knowledge to a mosquito?\u201d Faraj\nreplied: \u201cSure; He can do that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imam Jawad (PBUH) said: \u201cI\u2019m more dear\nthan a mosquito and most other creatures for Allah (SWT)\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indeed doubt in the power of Allah is\nfar more fragile than doubting in the light of the Sun. Though there is room\nfor doubting on one who makes such claims of knowing things normal people\ncannot learn; so it is necessary to research and find out about the truth of\nsuch claims. Nonetheless after seeing so many authentic narrations from the\nProphet (PBUH&HP) about his Progeny\u2019s status the result of investigation is\nfairly clear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, it is expected that there are\nnarrations about the Imams performing incredible things. How difficult is it really for Allah to give\nthe knowledge of what is not known to the one who He trusts and purified for\nthe guidance of all?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
