He decided to perform Hajj; however,\nhis intention was not to benefit from it, but to show off his power;\nnevertheless, he was negligent that he had to circumambulate the sanctuary of\nthe Absolute Power. As he entered Masjid al-Haram, the guards started opening\nthe way for him so that he could perform the rituals. In fact, nobody dared to\nprecede Harun al-Rashid (1), the Abbasid Caliph, in the rituals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, another person who was also\ncirculating around the Kaaba was pushed away by a guard. In return, he shouted\nwith a loud voice that could be heard by Harun, \u201dAllah has made all his\nservants equal in this place\u201d, and then he recited the following verse from the\nHoly Quran with the same stress: \u201cWe have made equally for all men, (for) the\ndwellers therein and (for) the visitors\u2026\u201d(2)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man continued performing his\nrituals without any fear from the Caliph, as he was confident in Someone else.\nHe actually preceded the Caliph in all the rituals. When the Caliph noticed the\nman\u2019s courage and bravery, he sent someone after him. The man responded by\nsaying, \u201dI have no business with him. If he needs me, he has to come to me\u201d.\nAfter hearing this respond, Harun said, \u201dHe is right\u201d, and went to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First, Harun greeted him and got the\nresponse. Then, he said to the man, \u201dWoe on to you! You have harmed the Caliph\nof the Muslims\u201d. Then, he continued, \u201dI have a question for you. If you can not\nanswer it, I will punish you\u201d. The man replied, \u201dI am ready to answer\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Harun asked, \u201cWhat is your duty to\nAllah (SWT)?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The man replied, \u201d1, 5, 17, 34, 94,\n153, 1 out of 12, 1 out of 40, 1 out of 200, 1 in lifetime, and one for one\u201d.\nHarun laughed mockingly and said, \u201dI ask you about obligatory deeds and you\ncount numbers for me?\u201d The man answered, \u201dDo you not know that religion is all\nabout taking accounts, and if it were no accounts in religion, Allah (SWT)\nwould not hold his slaves accountable?\u201d Then he recited the following verse\nfrom the Holy Quran:\u201d \u2026And though there be the weight of a grain of mustard\nseed (of good or bad deeds), (yet) will We bring it, and sufficient are We to\ntake account\u201d (3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next, he continued by saying, \u201dAs for\nthe one, it is the religion of Islam; the five refers to the five prayers in a\nday; the 17 means the number of Rak\u2019ats of prayers per day; thirty four is the\nnumber of Sajdahs (prostrations) ninety four refers to the number of Takbirs\n(glorification) in prayers; and One hundred and fifty three is the number of\nTasbihs (sanctification) in the prayers of a day. As for one out of twelve, I referred\nto the fasting of one month, the month of Ramadan, out of the twelve months in\neach year; one out of forty specifies the portion of Zakat (alms) each person\nhas to pay; five out of two hundred mentions the portion of money that has to\nbe offered to the poorA; once in lifetime refers to the obligatory Hajj each\nMustati (one who can afford) person has to perform once in his\/her lifetime;\nand the one for one specifies that whoever kills a person has to be killed, as\nAllah (SWT) says,\u201d \u2026 life for life\u2026\u201d(4)\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At this point, Harun became excited\nfrom the man\u2019s answer\u2026After that, as the man exited Masjid al-Haram, a group\nfollowed him and asked about his name. It was then revealed that the honorable\nman was Musa ibn Ja\u2019far, Imam Kadhim (PBUH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When Harun got the news, he said, \u201dI\nswear to God I knew that such a person could be no one but the fruit of the\nblessed tree (of Prophethood)\u201d (5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
