Allah (SWT) would never appoint a\nperson as an Imam and make him His decisive proof upon people unless the person\nhas earned the position and has reached perfection in his virtues, sayings, and\ndeeds. Such a person would say nothing but truth, and do nothing but good\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Like his ancestors Imam Muhammad\nal-Baqir (PBUH), fifth Imam of the Shiites, is a perfect example in terms of\nbehavior and other moral aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his behavior towards people, he was\nso chaste and humble that he would forgive and forget people’s wrongdoings as\nmuch as possible. This manner of the Imam would deeply penetrate within\npeople’s hearts. The following narration clearly indicates this magnificent\nvirtue:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Christian man who intended to make\nfun of the Imam (PBUH), changed the word “Baqir” (1) to\n“Baqar” (2), and addressed the Imam insultingly. Without showing any\nsigns of sadness or anger, Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (PBUH) simply replied:”\nNo, I am not Baqar, I am Baqir”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– The Christian\ncontinued:” You are son of the woman who was a cook”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Imam Muhammad\nal-Baqir (PBUH):” That was her career. This is not shameful.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– The\nChristian:” Your mother was black, impudent, and rude”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– Imam Muhammad\nal-Baqir (PBUH):” If such matters you accuse my mother are true, I ask\nAllah to forgive her sins; and if they are false, I ask Him to forgive you for\nyour accusations and lies.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The patience of the Imam was enough\nfor the Christian to be revolutionized and attracted towards Islam. He later became a Muslim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
