We all need to be preached. Every society requires preaching and\nreminders. Preaching is spoken word that\ncan calm the heart to softness. It\nremoves hard heartedness and controls anger and lust. It calms desires and beautifies the soul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every single person requires some form\nof preaching and advice. A person may survive without another person\u2019s\nteachings, but preachment is a must. Because,\nit is one thing to know something, but another to be reminded (of your\nobligations) by a pious believer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If the preachment is from the word of\nfaith, then it has a deeper effect. It\nis religious preaching that affects more hearts and humbles them. But apart from preaching to come from the\nwords of faith, it is best that he person saying them should be affected by the\nwords themselves, so that his\/her words would be coming from the heart. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thus it is crucial that people hear\npreaching, that they be reminded of the Lord, that they be awaken to the fact\nof death, that they understand the consequences of their sins; for them to hear\nof the grave and the Day of Judgment, and to hear about Divine Justice. This is a necessity for all, and no society\nis needless of this matter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is along these lines that Imam\nBaqir al-Ulum (PBUH) has said, \u201c\u2026if the scholars withhold preaching and\nguidance, they have betrayed (all); and if they see a person who has lost his\npath, and do not guide him to the right one, they have done very wrong, for\nAllah (SWT) has taken their oath in His book to invite people to good and\nforbid them from evil, and to help piety and good works\u20261\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The words of Imam Baqir\n(PBUH) require the attention of preachers from one end, and the return and\nacceptance of the preached on the other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
