And Satan swore to mislead the\nchildren of man from the Devine path\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yes! Satan, this ruthless enemy of\nman, has clearly stated his decision of misleading mankind by saying to Allah\n(SWT): \u201cSurely I will sit in wait against them (human beings) on Your Straight\nPath. Then I will come to them from before them and behind them, from their\nright and from their left, and You will not find most of them as thankful\nones.” (1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This way Satan made a firm decision to\ndeceive mankind by whatever way possible to lead them to failure and delude\nevery person by a distinct approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One way that Satan possibly tries to\ndeceive the followers and lovers of Amir al-Muminin (PBUH) through incorrect\nthoughts based on some traditions. For example, it has been said that one who\nshows devotion to Ali (PBUH) will not be subject to Divine punishment and the\nsins will not affect his soul and heart. \nHowever, one cannot take this as a license to commit sin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Imams (PBUT) have strongly rejected\nsuch incorrect interpretations of traditions. \nFor example, Imam Baqir (PBUH) said to Jabir:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cO Jabir, does\nthe one who claims he is a Shiite and devotee of us Ahl al-Bait find that\ndevotion to be sufficient, and therefore see himself in no need to perform acts\nof worship? By Allah, only he who is careful about his duty to Allah (SWT) and\nobeys His rules will be counted a Shiite!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They (Shiites) are only distinguished\nwith humility; humbleness; trustworthiness; constant remembrance of Allah;\nfasting and Prayers (Salat); kindness to parents; helping the poor, needy,\ndebtor and parentless; truthfulness neighbors; reading the Quran; refraining\nfrom speaking about people unless saying good of them; and they are known in\ntheir family and acquaintances for their trustworthiness in all aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
One may think that to achieve eternal\nsalvation it is only sufficient to claim to love Ali (PBUH) and accept his\nWilayah (Mastership); but what is the use if one is not a person of action?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By Allah, the only way to achieve\ncloseness to Allah is obedience to Him and performance of the rules of\nreligion. We have no means to avert (the claimer of Shiism with no action) from\nfire\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The one who is an obedient servant of\nAllah is our devotee and will be saved from the fire, whereas the one who is\ndisobedient to Allah is an enemy to us and will be subject to punishment of the\nfire. And there is no way to our\nWilayah and devotion except action and piety.\u201d(2), (3)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Shiites should realize that baseless\noverconfidence can fool them and put them in the way of Satan. They can be\nconned to the extent that they do not even pay attention to the words of\nreligious leaders whom they look up to. Those noble leaders have firmly spoken,\n\u201cWoe unto you if you are deceived! Our\nWilayah cannot be attained without performing the religious duties and keeping\naway from sins.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
