The dawn of Shaban the third, year 3\nA.H. is considered as one of the most beautiful dawns for it was on this day\nthat a blessed child entered the house of revelation. They informed the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HP)\nthat Lady Fatimah Zahra (PBUH) has given birth to a baby boy. The Holy Messenger was filled with a mixture\nof joy and grief, seeking dearly to see the newborn. Why the mixed emotions? Is it that the child\nhas a disability?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
No. The Holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) is\nlooking into the far future, occupied deeply in his thoughts. He looks again at this newborn. At times he is filled with joy, other times\nwith grief and sadness. He was like this\nfor some time until tear drops role from his kind eyes. O why is the Prophet (PBUH&HP), the\nwarrior of bravery crying? Why is he crying, when even the bravest man of\nQuraish, Ali ibn Abi Talib (PBUH) seeks his shelter in the hardest of times.\nBut, yet he among the ladies, cries in the ceremony of the newborn child!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Asma narrates, \u201cMay my father and\nmother take your fall! Why are you crying?\u2019 To which the Prophet replies, \u2018I\ncry upon this infant!\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So I said, \u2018But he is just born.\u2019 And\nhe responded, \u2018Revolting men after me will kill him. May Allah deprive them of my intercession\u2019.\u201d1<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The response of the Messenger of Allah\n(PBUH&HP) is not just a human emotion stemming from mere thought to protect\nhis name and family. This act, was the act of a divinely chosen Prophet. And this newborn was not just his son, but in\nfact Hussein (PBUH) would be the leader of those seeking the clear path of the\ndivine Prophet. Thus, the news of his\nmartyrdom was indeed a war between truth and falsehood. It was this fact that made the Prophet cry on\nthe child\u2019s birth, a well-justified crying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
An interesting birth was being\ncelebrated in the house of Prophethood. \nEven angels participated in this event. \nAngel Gabriel came forth to say,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cO Mohammad!\nAllah sends His Salam and says, \u201cAli is to you in position as Haroon is to\nMusa, except for the fact that there is no Prophet after you. Therefore name\nthis infant the name of Haroon\u2019s son.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) says,\n\u201cWhat was the name of Haroon\u2019s son?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Angel Gabriel responds, \u201cShubair.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Prophet (PBUH&HP) says, \u201cBut I\nspeak Arabic!\u201d Wherefore he named the\nchild Hussein (the Arabic equivalent of Shubair).2<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This child would be raised in the arms\nof the Holy Prophet (PBUH&HP) and Amir al-Muminin Ali (PBUH). Two years passed and he had not spoken yet!\nThe lines on the face of the child are a strong reflection of his wisdom and\nwill, then why does he not speak?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once, Muslims stood to pray behind the\nMessenger of Allah, and Hussein (PBUH) was also standing beside the\nProphet. Those present prepared to\nrecite the Takbir. Silence filled the\nair. In this moment, the Prophet (PBUH&HP) recited Takbir, and following\nhim a soft and low voice reciting \u2018God is Great\u2019 could be heard. This was the\nvoice of Hussein ibn Ali. The Prophet (PBUH&HP) repeated the praise, and\nHussein (PBUH) also repeated. Those\nawaiting the prayer who witnessed this experience, would hear, repeat the\npraise, and remain in awe! The Prophet (PBUH&HP) said the praise seven times, and Hussein\n(PBUH) had followed saying it seven times as well.3 Then the Prophet (PBUH&HP) began his\nSalat and Hussein (PBUH) would repeat what he would hear. And it was so that the first words of Hussein\n(PBUH) was the words of the One God, Allahu Akbar, God is Great!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When walking with history, it is\nobvious to see how after 55 years, this child when taking his final steps for\nhis holy war, and in a time when his pure body had fallen on the burning desert\nsand under the sun\u2019s rays and his liver had been torn apart from thirst and the\nburning swords, he parted his lips and said to his Lord:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cO Lord! I am\npleased at Your Decree, and there is no god but Thee!\u201d4<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And he would repeat this phrase up\nuntil his soul flew from his body to the heavens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
