Amidst the chaos of the everyday life,\ncertain phrases like Brotherhood, Dignity, and Forbearance have lost their\nmeaning. One might think those phrases\nbelonged to a previous age and to another period of time. The age that a father\nwould ask his son while he did not need to ask; and the son would reply while\nhe knew the father already knows the answer. It was all so a time would come,\nwhen some exhausted souls like me, you, and us, would ponder upon their dialog\nand break the barriers of ambiguity to these strange words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH) asked his son\nHassan: “O my son, what is righteousness?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hassan Ibn Ali (PBUH) replied: “O\nfather, righteousness is to replace the bad things with good deeds.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nDignity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To be good\nwith relatives, and to remain tolerant of their cruel deeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nBravery?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To be chaste<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nLowliness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To think of\ncheap things in life and to refuse giving even smallest belongings in charity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nGenerosity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To give away\n(in charity) before requested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nCheapness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To seek owns\ncomfort and ignore one?s spouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is Mercy?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To give and\nbenefit others, whether we are in need and whether full.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nStinginess?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To consider\nyour property as (your) honor, and what you have given away in charity as\nwealth that has been wasted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nBrotherhood?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To have\nDevotion and loyalty in the time of hardship and peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is Fear?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To act brave\nupon friends, and to run away from the enemy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nOpportunity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To be pious in\nthis world ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nForbearance?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To control\none?s anger and to keep resentment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is Wealth?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To be\nsatisfied with what Allah has given, no matter how small ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nPoverty?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To greed for\neverything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nAbjectness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To fear the\ntruth ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nWorthless Suffering?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To talk about\nsomething that does not benefit you in any way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nGreatness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To give away\n(in charity) in your time of need and to forgive the bad deeds of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is Wisely?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To take good\ncare of what is given to you …<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is Great\nstatus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To do what is\nbeautiful and to refrain from what is ugly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nProvidence?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To be very\npatient and to treat people with leniency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nSilliness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To follow\nthose who think cheap and interact with those who are not on the guided path.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\ndeprivation?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To lose a\nbenefit that had been granted to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– What is\nFoolishness?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
– To rush in\nreaching opportunities before having them available, and to refrain from\nanswering (to what you already know). Nonetheless, silence is a great companion\nin most cases, no matter how eloquent of a speaker you are. (1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we think about phrases we see:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a matter of fact, it is possible to\nlook at life through a different perspective, to experience a more pleasant\ntaste of life, and to experience even more beauty in life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A different perspective and a Life\nfull of true colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
