Certain characteristics distinguish\nIslam from other religions. An example can be seen in its introduction of Lady\nFatimah (PBUH), whom a whole chapter of the Holy Quran is dedicated solely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Allah (SWT) has desired to prolong the\npresence of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) and his message through his family,\nunlike the previous prophets such as Prophet Nuh\/Noah, Prophet Musa\/Moses, and\nProphet Isa\/Jesus (PBUT). Allah (SWT) willed it so the progeny of Prophet\nMuhammad (PBUH&HP) would continue through a lady, Fatimah (PBUH) (1). This is\ndespite the fact that Allah (SWT) could have continued the progeny of Prophet\nMuhammad (PBUH) through a set of sons, as he did with Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fatimah, al-Zahra, (PBUH) has a status\nunlike any other woman. Her attention and connection to her Lord is exemplary,\nand Allah (SWT) has praised her immensely for it. These matters can be found in\nmany authentic historical accounts, even in works studied by the Sunni\nscholars. (2) Despite the differences, these works all seem to agree on one\naspect, and that is the \u201choliness of Lady Fatimah (PBUH)\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon this we come to the conclusion\nthat if such a lady is mistreated, the offense is far more severe than any\nother. Her enemies created a fighting ground with the most sacred matter, the\nHoly Quran. For, according to Muslims, many of the verses in the Holy Quran\nwere revealed about the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT), such as the verse of \u201cTat-hir\u201d(3),\nthe verse of \u201cMawaddat\u201d(4), and the verse of \u201cMubahilah\u201d(5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although Muslims may disagree on\naspects such as who are considered as the Ahl al-Bayt, they all agree\nunanimously on the fact that Lady Fatimah (PBUH) is one of the Ahl al-Bayt. And\nthus enmity with Lady Fatimah (PBUH) is enmity with the Holy Quran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, enmity with Lady Fatimah\n(PBUH) is enmity with the Holy Prophet (PBUH&HP), the most highly revered\nface of mankind. To reiterate, oppression upon Fatimah (PBUH) is oppression\nupon all religious values, of which the most important is the Holy Prophet\n(PBUH&HP). As the famous saying goes, “satisfying Fatimah (PBUH) means\nsatisfying the Prophet and her anger is his anger;” (7) thus, oppressing\nher is equivalent to oppressing him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, this enmity is enmity\nwith a pious person. Many of the Prophet\u2019s narrations discuss the immense value\na pious person is given by Allah (SWT). It is to the extent that his\/her\nreverence is more significant than the reverence of Ka\u2019ba among Muslims. (8)\nSuch a comparison is huge for we are talking about the same Ka\u2019ba which if\ndisrespected, Allah (SWT) would not tolerate such disrespect for Ka\u2019ba! Based\non the Islamic teachings we also know that honor of an ordinary pious person is\nrevered higher than that of the Ka\u2019ba. Now we come back to the question of the\nvalue of a pious lady such as Lady Fatimah (PBUH), who, because of her relation\nto Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) on the one hand, and her devout character on\nthe other, has been clearly placed in a position to truly be respected. In her\npraise, the verse of Tat-hir will suffice to reveal her character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Oppression upon such a person,\ntherefore, is not held lightly; it is not some minor enmity; rather, it is the\nhighest form of enmity upon humanity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Enmity with this lady is enmity with\nthe status of a woman who holds a special position in Islam. Coming along these\nlines, humanity in itself holds a highly revered position for women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thus, one of the most anguishing\noccasions for a man is to see his wife being oppressed in front of his eyes. It\nis because of this matter that it is said that the oppressions upon the family\nof Imam Hussain (PBUH) parallels the oppressions perpetrated upon Imam Hussain\n(PBUH). It is not the killings or the swords; rather, it is the \u201cdisrespect\u201d\ndone to the family of Imam Hussian (PBUH) through enslavement and the like,\nwhich is the great calamity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we delve further into the life of\nLady Fatimah (PBUH), we find that she was the best example of a complete\nindividual and a significant example of a holy lady in an Islamic society. And\nthus, enmity and oppression upon such a lady who holds the best position of a\nwoman is enmity upon the feminine race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Was Fatimah (PBUH), who holds such\nstatus, oppressed after the demise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP)? Where is\nher grave? What happened to the third grandson of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP)\nwhom the Prophet named as Muhsin and the Islamic scholars have identified him\nas the son of Fatimah (PBUH)? Why is his account hardly talked discussed?\nHistory has a lot of untold mysteries\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
