That night, he was listening to his\nmom who had turned towards Qibla at a corner of the room. He carefully watched\nher mom bowing down, prostrating, standing, and sitting in prayers the entire\nnight, which was a Thursday night. Although he was a child, he followed the\nactions of his mother to see what she would ask Allah (SWT) for herself after\npraying for all Muslim men and women, and asking Allah (SWT) to grant them\nblessings, bounty, salvation, and mercy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imam Hassan (PBUH) did not sleep that\nnight at all, watching what his mother, Lady Fatimah (PBUH), was doing. He was\nwaiting to see how his mother would pray, and what she would ask for herself\nfrom Allah (SWT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The entire night was spent in worship\nand praying for others, and Imam Hassan (PBUH) did not hear her mother praying\nfor herself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At morning, he asked her mother,\u201d O\nmother! Why did you pray for others and did not ask Allah (SWT) anything for\nyourself?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The kind mother replied,\u201d O my dear\nson! Neighbors first, then ourselves!\u201d(1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
