Historic sources clearly show that the\nmany people who in practice denied the immediate succession of Prophet Muhammad\n(PBUH&HP) by Ali Ibn Abitalib were in fact present in the event of Ghadir.\nOnly a few years following the event of Ghadir historic sources refer to the\nevent in very vivid examples. The\nfollowing are just a few of such examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1- It has been\nnarrated that once when Abu Hurairah entered a Mosque and people gathered\naround him, a young man among them spoke saying: \u201cFor the sake of Allah tell\nus, did you hear the Messenger of Allah say: \u2018For whoever I am his Master, ‘Ali\nis his master. O Allah love those who love him, and be hostile to those who are\nhostile to him\u2019?\u201d\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abu Hurairah responded: \u201cI bear\nwitness that I heard the Prophet himself say: \u2018For whoever I am his Master, Ali\nis his master. O Allah! Love those who love him, and be hostile to those who\nare hostile to him.\u2019\n\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
2- The narrator\nof this account says that he once entered Mecca with Abdullah Abdullah Ibn\nAlqamah who held a deep-felt hatred towards Amir al Mu\u2019menin and cursed him at\nevery chance he got. Abu Sa\u2019eed Khudri\n(a known companion to the Prophet) was also present in Mecca. The narrator asked Abdullah if he would like\nto hear a narration about Ali from Abu Saeed? He agreed and we went to Abu\nSaeed. Abdullah asked: have you heard any narration about Ali from the Prophet\nhimself?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abu Saeed answer: Yes! I will tell you\nabout a narration, which you can ask from any Muhajir or Ansar and also anyone\nin the tribe of Quraysh [so that you are sure about its authenticity]: The\nMessenger of Allah (PBUH&HP) stood up in the return of last Hajj in [the\narea] Ghadir Khum and announced: O People! Do I have more authority over the\nbelievers than themselves? People said: Yes. \nProphet repeated the question three times. He then said: O Ali! Come\ncloser. Then he raised Ali\u2019s hand and said three times: \u201cFor whoever I am his\nMaster, Ali is his master.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Abdullah asked: Did you hear than\nyourself from the Messenger of Allah? While Abu Saeed was pointing to his ears\nand heart, he said: With my own ears and placed it into my heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the Dhuhr Prayer that very day,\nAbdullah stood up and said three times: I repent to Allah for having cursed Ali\nand ask for His forgiveness.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
