{"id":23034,"date":"2019-01-29T15:01:34","date_gmt":"2019-01-29T11:31:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roshd.com\/?p=23034"},"modified":"2025-12-27T15:07:09","modified_gmt":"2025-12-27T11:37:09","slug":"anticipation-the-beginning-of-movement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roshd.com\/en\/anticipation-the-beginning-of-movement\/","title":{"rendered":"Anticipation, the Beginning of Movement&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"23034\" class=\"elementor elementor-23034 elementor-2402\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-45e5978 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"45e5978\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-settings=\"{&quot;ekit_has_onepagescroll_dot&quot;:&quot;yes&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-b8c0b21\" data-id=\"b8c0b21\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c96a67e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c96a67e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-settings=\"{&quot;ekit_we_effect_on&quot;:&quot;none&quot;}\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div style=\"direction: ltr; border-width: 100%;\"><div style=\"direction: ltr; margin-top: 0in; margin-left: 0in; width: 7.6041in;\"><div style=\"direction: ltr; margin-top: 0in; margin-left: 0in; width: 7.6041in;\"><p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0So much has been mentioned in Islamic sources about the status and rank of anticipators (<em>Muntadhir)<\/em>\u00a0of the return of Imam Mahdi\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0that it leads one to wonder how a simple act of awaiting has been given so much value.\u00a0\u00a0However, by focusing on the philosophy behind &#8220;awaiting (<em>Intidhar)<\/em>\u00a0the return of Imam Mahdi\u00a0(PBUH)&#8221; and the responsibilities of his anticipators, one may to some extent understand the value of this act:<\/p><ol><li>Prophet Muhammad\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)said: &#8220;The best of worship\u00a0is to anticipate the relief (<em>Faraj<\/em>) (return of Mahdi\u00a0(PBUH)).&#8221;<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><\/li><li>Prophet Muhammad\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)said: &#8220;The best struggle (<em>Jihad<\/em>) of my community is to await the\u00a0<em>Faraj<\/em>.&#8221;<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a><\/li><li>Amir al-Mu&#8217;minin\u00a0(PBUH)said: &#8220;Await the\u00a0<em>Faraj<\/em>\u00a0and do not be hopeless of Allah&#8217;s mercy; indeed Allah, the Lord of might and glory considers the best of acts to be the anticipation of\u00a0<em>Faraj<\/em>&#8220;<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a><\/li><li>Sheikh Sadooq has narrated in his book,\u00a0<em>al-Khisal,\u00a0<\/em>from Imam Sadiq (PBUH) who narrated from his ancestors: &#8220;The rank of those who await the return of Mahdi is equal to the rank of those whom shed blood in the way of Allah.&#8221;<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a><\/li><li>Also in\u00a0<em>Kamal al-Din<\/em>Imam Sadiq\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0explains the importance of anticipation (<em>Intidhar)<\/em>: &#8220;Blessed are those followers of our Ariser (Qa\u2019eim) who await the last Imam during his occultation and are obedient after his reappearance; they are the close ones to Allah; no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.&#8221;<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\">[5]<\/a><\/li><\/ol><p>The above narrations gave a glimpse of the importance of\u00a0<em>Intidhar,\u00a0<\/em>however in the following passages we will slightly explain why anticipating the\u00a0<em>Faraj<\/em>\u00a0is so important:<\/p><p><strong>1-\u00a0<em>Intidhar<\/em>\u00a0is the connection between Imam Mahdi\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(PBUH)\u00a0<\/strong><strong>and his followers:\u00a0<\/strong>As you may know, &#8220;Wilayat&#8221; and &#8220;Imamat&#8221; are essential beliefs of the\u00a0<em>Shia.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>In fact the belief in the presence of Allah\u2019s representative and an Infallible Imam in all ages and at all times is one of the most important aspects of this school of thought.\u00a0\u00a0In other words, obeying the Imam of the era and representative of Allah is necessary for the acceptance of all worships and deeds. Of course\u00a0<em>Intidhar\u00a0<\/em>must be used its correct context: to be hopeful to the return of 12<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Infallible Imam from the progeny of Prophet Muhammad\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP).\u00a0\u00a0It is he who is the representative of Allah in this age; and is the gate for Allah\u2019s blessing to people, witness to the acts of his followers, and the helper of them in difficulties and hardships.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>2- Awaiting the return of Imam Mahdi\u00a0<\/strong><strong>(PBUH)<\/strong><strong>, the criterion that determines the value of humans:\u00a0<\/strong>The goals of humans can to a great extent determine their intellectual growth in society.\u00a0\u00a0Just as the famous saying which says, &#8220;Speak up about your dreams so that I tell you who you are,\u201d wise goals and dreams talk a great deal about the excellence of humans who choose them.\u00a0\u00a0Conversely having low wishes and dreams shows of the low character in that human.\u00a0\u00a0Amir al-Mu\u2019minin, Imam Ali\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0has said in this regard, &#8220;The worth of a man is according to his courage.&#8221;<a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\">[6]<\/a><\/p><p>After this short introduction, it can be said that since a true Muntadhir (one whom awaits the return of Imam Mahdi\u00a0(PBUH)) has valuable goals and dreams, then similarly he himself has the best and highest virtues.\u00a0\u00a0The final dream of this Muntadhir is for the true and peaceful religion of Allah\u00a0(SWT)\u00a0to govern the world, the destruction of all oppressors, and to see justice and safety put into practice for everyone.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>3-\u00a0<em>Intidhar\u00a0<\/em>keeps individuals dynamic and hopeful:\u00a0<\/strong>During the occultation era,\u00a0<em>Intidhar<\/em>\u00a0has a critical effect in terms of individual and social improvements.
