Shiites are attached to their Imams not only by belief, but also by their strong\u00a0emotional attachment<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0This is why in various situations, especially in times of hardship, Shiites turn to the Imams to pour out their hearts.\u00a0But in order for this heartfelt connection to work, it is necessary to have\u00a0mutual understanding<\/strong>\u00a0between the Imam and his follower.\u00a0Do differences in languages, all from English, French, Spanish, all through eastern languages of Farsi, Hindi, and the like, and even local dialects affect the connection with the infallible Imams\u00a0(PBUT)?<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Ismael Sindi narrates, \u201cI was in India when I heard God\u2019s representative is among the Arabs, so I left my city to search for God\u2019s representative. I was introduced to Imam Reza\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0and I went to visit him. I went there while I could not speak Arabic and thus, I greeted him with my local dialect; he fluently responded back and we started to converse.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

I asked Imam Reza\u00a0(PBUH): I heard back in India that God\u2019s representative is amongst the Arab and so I came out searching for him.<\/p>

The Imam\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0responded in my own\u00a0local dialect<\/strong>, saying \u2018Indeed, I am the representative of God, so ask what you seek.\u2019[1]<\/a><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

I proceeded with my questions\u2026.\u201d<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Sheikh Saduq narrates from Abu Al-Selt Heravi, \u201cImam Reza\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0was speaking to some people in their own language, and by God he was the most fluent and knowledge of the people in any language and word.\u00a0\u00a0One day I asked the Imam, \u2018O son of the Messenger of Allah! I am astonished at how fluent you are in all languages, despite their differences and varieties.\u2019<\/p>

The Imam responded, \u2018O father of Selt! I am Allah\u2019s representative among His servants, and Allah does not appoint a leader to a people, in which they cannot understand his language and words.\u2019[2]<\/a>\u201d<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Along these lines, the famous narrator, Allameh Majlesi dedicated a whole chapter of his book\u00a0Bihar ul-Anwar<\/em>\u00a0to the topic, \u201cThe Infallible Imams\u00a0(PBUT)\u00a0are fluent in all languages, and speak in those tongues.\u201d[3]<\/a>\u00a0In concluding his chapter, Allameh Majlesi writes, \u201cThat the Imams\u00a0(PBUT)\u00a0are aware of various languages is a known fact.\u00a0\u00a0The authenticity of the narrations is such that when put along side the Sunni narrations, it does not leave much room for doubt.\u201d[4]<\/a>,[5]<\/a><\/sup><\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

Indeed! It is divine miracle and blessing that the Imams are familiar with the various language and dialects of their followers.\u00a0\u00a0And when a Shia begins to pour his\/her heart out for his\/her Imam, in Farsi, European, Hindu, Turkish, various African dialects, American, and any other language across the world, the Imam\u2019s kind focus and listening ear accepts the caller.\u00a0<\/p>
