Some Rabbis who had converted to Islam and others who still remained in their Jewish faith were dispersed throughout the Islamic nation, and they became the ideological reference of some ignorant Muslims. The effect of the Jews on the Islamic culture manifested itself in the form of fabricated narrations known as \u201c<strong>Isra\u2019ilyiat<\/strong>\u201d. The majority of these fabricated narrations were about the life and characteristics of the previous Prophets. One of the Islamic scholars who used these fabricated narrations in his writings was \u201cTabari\u201d, the well-known interpreter. Most of the narrations he has used to interpret the Holy Quran are taken from Jewish sources, either directly or indirectly<sup>\u00a0<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p><p>The ideological movement of the Jews \u2013 within the Islamic nation and specifically among their scholars \u2013 was not limited to interpretation of the Holy Quran, rather it had an awful effect on Islamic jurisdiction and beliefs. This fact is so clear in the history that there is absolutely no doubt about it<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a>.<\/p><p>Confronting the Jews and their poisonous influences on the Islamic culture was among the priorities on the agenda of the Infallible Imams\u00a0(PBUT). Denying the narrations fabricated by the Jews about the previous Prophets which snubbed the holy characters of the Divine Messengers is clearly observed in the actions of Infallible Imams\u00a0(PBUT). They made effort to cut this undesirable cultural effect of the Jews on the Islamic culture which was about to deviate the original, pure Islamic culture by making statements such as \u201c<strong>Do not resemble the Jews<\/strong>\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a>.<\/p><p>The narrators among other Islamic sects welcome these fabricated narrations, entered them in their books, and contaminated their culture with them. However, through the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT), their followers stood cautious against these deviating ideas and were safe from their dreadful effects.<\/p><p>Among the Infallible Imams\u00a0(PBUT), Imam Baqir\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0played an important role in opposing Isra\u2019iliyiat and the fabricated narrations. For example, the Jews who lived during the time of Imam Baqir\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0\u2013including those who had apparently converted to Islam and those who were still Jews \u2013 tried to convince the Muslims about the superiority of the Sacred House \u2013 which was the holy site of the Jews over Ka\u2019aba. As such, the fabricated narrations in this regard and widely spread them in the Islamic nation.\u00a0<\/p><p>Zurarah narrates that \u201cI was sitting with Imam Baqir\u00a0(PBUH), and as he was facing the Ka\u2019aba, he said,\u201d Looking at Ka\u2019aba is an act of worship\u201d. At this moment, a man from the tribe of \u201cBajilah\u201d who was known as \u201cAa\u2019sim bin Umar\u201d came to the Imam\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0and said,\u201d Ka\u2019ab al-Ahbar<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a>\u00a0says: \u2018The Ka\u2019ba prostrates towards the Sacred House every morning\u201d. Imam Baqir\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0said the man,\u2019 What do you think about this statement of Ka\u2019ab al-Ahbar?\u201d The man replied, \u2018He is right\u201d. Imam Baqir\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0said,\u2019 You are both lying\u201d. Then, being extremely angry, he continued,\u2019 Allah\u00a0(SWT)\u00a0has not created a spot on the earth more beloved than the Ka\u2019aba\u201d<sup>\u00a0<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\">[5]<\/a><\/sup>.<\/p><p>The tireless endeavors of the Infallible Imams\u00a0(PBUT), specifically Imam Baqir\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0resulted on the fact that the heritage of Prophet Muhammad\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)\u00a0was passed on to the Shiites solely through the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT), without any interference from the Jews.
