I owe a huge debt which I cannot afford to pay. I thought with myself that I should ask the most generous person for help. And I did not find anyone more generous than the Ahl al-Bayt of the Messenger of Allah\u00a0(PBUT).&#8221;<\/p><p>The Imam\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0said to the man,\u201d O Arab brother! I will ask you three questions. If you answer one of them, I will give you one third of your debt; if you answer two, I will give you two thirds of your debt; and if you answer all of them, I will give you as much as you owe\u201d.<\/p><p>The Bedouin replied,\u201d O son of the Messenger of Allah! How is it that a person respected and knowledgeable like you asks question from a person like me?\u201d<\/p><p>Imam Hussain\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0said,\u201d Yes, I heard my grandfather say &#8216;Doing good to someone should be as much as his knowledge\u201d.<\/p><p>The Bedouin said,\u201d Ask whatever you will. If I know the answer, I will respond, and if not, I will learn the answer from you\u201d.<\/p><p>Imam Hussain\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0asked,\u201d What is the\u00a0<strong>best deed<\/strong>?\u201d<\/p><p>The man replied,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Having faith in Allah<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p><p>Imam Hussain\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0said,\u201d What will save people from destruction?\u201d<\/p><p>The man replied,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Trust and reliance on Allah<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p><p>Imam Hussain\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0asked,\u201d What is the\u00a0<strong>ornament<\/strong>\u00a0of a person?\u201d<\/p><p>The man replied,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Knowledge<\/strong>\u00a0that is combined with\u00a0<strong>patience<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>endurance<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p><p>Imam Hussain\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0said,\u201d What if that is not possible?\u201d<\/p><p>The man replied,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Wealth<\/strong>\u00a0which is combined with\u00a0<strong>generosity<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>grace<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p><p>Imam Hussain\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0said,\u201d What if that is not possible?\u201d<\/p><p>The man replied,\u201d\u00a0<strong>Poverty<\/strong>\u00a0which is combined with\u00a0<strong>patience<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p><p>Imam Hussain\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0said,\u201d What if that is not possible?\u201d<\/p><p>The man replied,\u201d A thunder shall come and destroy him; because that is what such a person is worthy of\u201d.<\/p><p>Imam Hussain\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0smiled, took out a pouch which had one thousand gold coins and a ring whose stone was worth two hundred gold coins in it, and offered it to the man and said,\u201d O Bedouin!
