However, what if remembering these events closely relate to religious beliefs? What if these events actually had an impact in shaping people\u2019s beliefs: beliefs that directly influenced their lives in both this world and the hereafter?\u00a0 And upon this we conclude that in fact it is obligatory on every truth-seeking and religious person to investigate the histories of the two schools of thought in Islam. Each school of thought introduced itself as religious references for the nation through either the concept of caliphate or Imamat. In this regards, the Holy Quran says:<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cIs He then Who guides to the truth more worthy to be followed, or he who himself does not go aright unless he is guided? What then is the matter with you; how do you judge?\u201d <a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\">[1]<\/a><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Studying the sayings and teachings of Prophet Muhammad\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)\u00a0shows that observing the rights of the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT)\u00a0holds an especially high status, and as a result\u00a0showing affection\u00a0and love towards the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT)\u00a0is one of the most obvious ways of observing their rights. Insistent commandments of the Messenger of Allah\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)\u00a0to observe the rights of the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT)\u00a0on one hand, and the frequent\u00a0Ahadith\u00a0which indicate the value in loving the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT)\u00a0on the other hand have caused Muslims to pay special attention towards love and affection for the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT). In his last sayings, Prophet Muhammad\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)\u00a0continued emphasizing this tradition regarding the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT)<a href=\"#_ftn2\" name=\"_ftnref2\">[2]<\/a>. In another statement, he has identified the\u00a0best person towards the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT)\u00a0as the best of the nation<a href=\"#_ftn3\" name=\"_ftnref3\">[3]<\/a>; and in the famous\u00a0Hadith\u00a0of\u00a0Thaqalayn, he has referred to the Holy Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT)\u00a0as two valuable, equal, and\u00a0inseparable\u00a0things, and has insistently ordered the observation of both<a href=\"#_ftn4\" name=\"_ftnref4\">[4]<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">In a\u00a0Hadith\u00a0frequently narrated by Shia and Sunni sources, Prophet Muhammad\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)\u00a0has said: \u201cFatimah is the master of all the women of the worlds\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn5\" name=\"_ftnref5\">[5]<\/a>. And regarding her proximity towards Allah\u00a0(SWT), he has said: \u201cO Fatimah! Verily Allah becomes wrathful for your\u00a0anger, and is pleased at your pleasure\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn6\" name=\"_ftnref6\">[6]<\/a>. His love for Lady Fatimah\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0was so much that he would repeatedly say: \u201cFatimah is a piece of my flesh\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn7\" name=\"_ftnref7\">[7]<\/a>. Other sources have also introduced a fuller version of the previous\u00a0Hadith, adding that: \u201cShe is the flesh of me which is in my chest, the light of my eyes, and the fruit of my heart\u201d<a href=\"#_ftn8\" name=\"_ftnref8\">[8]<\/a>. Moreover, he had specifically ordered people to respect Lady Fatimah\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0and he presented this order through his behavior<a href=\"#_ftn9\" name=\"_ftnref9\">[9]<\/a>, sayings, and titles <a href=\"#_ftn10\" name=\"_ftnref10\">[10]<\/a>he attributed to Lady Fatimah\u00a0(PBUH).<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Scholars and historians unanimously agree that love towards Lady Fatimah\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0is of the most obvious and practical ways in expressing love for the Ahl al-Bayt\u00a0(PBUT).\u00a0 In the commentary of verse 23 in chapter 42 of the Holy Quran<a href=\"#_ftn11\" name=\"_ftnref11\">[11]<\/a>, both Sunni and Shia interpreters have induced that the term family (Aal) in this verse refers to Lady Fatimah\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0as one of its members.<a href=\"#_ftn12\" name=\"_ftnref12\">[12]<\/a><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">Considering the above statements, to some the thought of Lady Fatimah\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0being oppressed by the governors after the death of the Messenger of Allah\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)\u00a0may seem as a total misconception. Yet, the facts can be easily found in authentic history books, authored by Shia and Sunni historians, which narrate the incidents after the death of the Prophet\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP). These recordings clearly indicate how Lady Fatimah\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0would express her constant state of suffering from the oppressions induced upon her by the governors after the death of the Prophet\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP): \u201cI suffered so many tragedies that if they had hit bright days, they would have turned into dark nights\u201d. In another incident when Umm-Salama asked for her health, Lady Fatimah\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0clearly complained about the\u00a0absence of the Prophet\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)\u00a0and the\u00a0oppressions placed upon his rightful successor; and she named hypocrisy in religion and avenging the victories of Imam Ali\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0as causes for these incidents.<a href=\"#_ftn13\" name=\"_ftnref13\">[13]<\/a><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">A brief look at her fiery and doleful\u00a0sermon\u00a0in the mosque, in the presence of the\u00a0Muhajirin\u00a0and\u00a0Ansar, clarifies how she condemns the deviations made by the ruler of the government.\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\">And finally, upon seeing the indifference of people toward the oppressions of the government and toward the deviations made in Islam, as a sign of objection she asked Imam Ali\u00a0(PBUH)\u00a0to perform her burial ceremony in secret, and for her grave to be hidden from the public <a href=\"#_ftn14\" name=\"_ftnref14\">[14]<\/a>Indeed this was an awakening call for people to ask:<br \/>\u201cWhy despite all the commandments and recommendations made about her, did the life of the only daughter of Prophet Muhammad\u00a0(PBUH&amp;HP)\u00a0end in such a manner?\u201d <a href=\"#_ftn15\" name=\"_ftnref15\">[15]<\/a><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/roshd.com\/\">Islamic \u2013 Shia Website: Roshd<\/a><\/p><hr \/><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Footnotes:<\/strong><\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref1\" name=\"_ftn1\">[1]<\/a> The Holy Quran (10, 35)<br \/>Say: \u201cIs there of your (Allah\u2019s so-called) partners one that guides to the truth?\u201d Say: \u201cIt is Allah Who guides to the truth. Examples of such reports can be found in page 364 of Manaqib. Ibn Maghazili narrates that after the revelation of verse 24 of chapter 24, Allah (SWT) ordered people to call the Prophet (PBUH&amp;HP) respectfully by his specified title of \u201cmessenger of Allah\u201d. Lady Fatimah (PBUH) would also call him with this title, when her father upon bending down to kiss her hand, requested that she continue calling him \u201cFather\u201d like before, for this was a word that he loved more, and for which Allah (SWT) was pleased with as well.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref10\" name=\"_ftn10\">[10]<\/a> The Prophet (PBUH&amp;HP) himself chose the title \u201cUmm Abiha\u201d (the mother of his father) for Lady Fatimah (PBUH), and this has been narrated by both Shia and Sunni. See Kashf al-Ghummah, vol. 2, p. 88 and Al-Isabah, vol. 4, p. 365 (Published in Egypt)<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref11\" name=\"_ftn11\">[11]<\/a> \u201cSay: I do not ask of you any reward for it but love for my near relatives\u201d<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref12\" name=\"_ftn12\">[12]<\/a> For example, Zamakhshari says: \u201cThere is no doubt that the relation between Fatimah (PBUH), Ali (PBUH), Hassan (PBUH), Hussain (PBUH), and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&amp;HP) was the firmest and closest of relations, and this certainty is like the certainty about a frequent narration. Thus, it is appropriate to believe in them as the family of the Prophet (PBUT)\u201d. (Tafsir of Al-Kashaf, under verse 23 of chapter 42)<\/p><p style=\"text-align: left;\"><a href=\"#_ftnref13\" name=\"_ftn13\">[13]<\/a> Misfortunes have befallen me.
