Anas ibn Malik has reported that, ”I was with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) while he was wearing a striped garment with a rough hem. At this time, a nomad came pulling the garment in a way that its hem injured the Prophet’s neck. The nomad said: “O Muhammad! Load these two camels of mine with God’s wealth which is with you, for it is neither yours nor that of your father.”
The Prophet kept silent and then said: “The wealth belongs to God and I too am His servant. Shall I do to you what you did?” The nomad said: “No, for you do not recompense evil with evil”. The Prophet smiled and then ordered to load one of his camels with barley and another with date.”
