  5. A Plan for Liberation …

As the minutes of the eve of the 15th of Sha’ban dwindled away, time seemed to slow down for those eagerly awaiting its momentous conclusion—it felt like an eternity. Finally, the night reached its last minute, and the countdown began. The seconds ticked away ever so slowly until, suddenly, a radiant light filled the air, heralding the birth of a newborn. That child was born, and the Promised Savior of humanity graced the world with his presence, illuminating it with his arrival. At this moment, his mother, Narjis, was overcome with pride and joy, while chants of takbeer and tahmeed, mingled with shouts of congratulations and jubilation, reverberated through the air.

Indeed, this honor belongs exclusively to the lineage of Prophethood—the family chosen by the Almighty. The Promised Savior of humanity, destined to rise and establish global justice, was born into this illustrious household.

Today, more than ever, the concept of a global society and universal governance has emerged as a significant aspiration. International organizations have been established under the guise of unity, aiming to foster connections among all nations. Although many of these efforts are shrouded in political motives, the formation of such organizations reveals humanity’s innate longing for universal social, religious, and political unity. These superficial movements, in fact, set the stage for authentic efforts and humanity’s readiness to accept a genuine global government.

However, will humanity—armed with mastery over nature’s forces and claiming the ability to annihilate all life on Earth in under an hour—abandon its lust for domination and embrace peace? How can we expect a world devoid of spirituality and morality, where ambition and power drive individuals to adopt any means necessary, to know true tranquility?

As foretold in numerous authentic Islamic narrations, a time will come when the world will plunge into unprecedented hardships. The flames of oppression and tyranny will consume societies, leaving rulers incapable of governance. War and bloodshed will threaten the extinction of humanity. During this period, the weak and oppressed will find no solace in the international councils and assemblies ostensibly established to uphold their rights. Meanwhile, destructive weaponry will reach unimaginable heights of sophistication, while noble human virtues vanish, replaced by widespread moral and social corruption.

Would such conditions not compel humanity, after a series of global upheavals, to turn towards a righteous, divinely-guided government founded on faith in God and the Day of Judgment?

At this critical juncture, a great divine reformer, whose arrival has been foretold with precise attributes, will rise. He will initiate a universal transformation, bringing an end to all suffering and injustice. This exalted reformer, as narrated in Islamic traditions, will establish a global order of truth and justice. His era will witness the implementation of heavenly decrees, the dominance of divine laws, and the operation of institutions solely for the welfare of humanity. Eventually, prosperity will become so widespread that poverty will be eradicated entirely across the globe.

The Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) has given glad tidings of this monumental day. He said:
“Even if only a single day remains from the life of this world, Allah will extend that day until a man from my household arises and fills the Earth with justice, just as it had been filled with oppression and tyranny.”[1]

We, like all of humanity, eagerly anticipate this promised day and envision a future bright and glorious for all. With hearts brimming with hope and optimism, we commit to our responsibilities and celebrate the birth of this ultimate savior of mankind. We extend our congratulations to all, particularly to those who have suffered under the weight of materialism, oppression, and corruption.

“O Allah, hasten his reappearance, ease his advent, and include us among his supporters and helpers!”
